Fauna

Wolf Quiz

This wolf quiz keeps to a single animal: six questions on packs, howls, and range, marked as you answer them.

Six questions on one animal

This round stays with a single animal. Its six questions keep to three themes — packs, howls, and range — which is to say how wolves organize themselves, what their voices are for, and where in the world they are found. Each question picks one thread and asks something exact about it; the exact things are the quiz’s to ask, not this page’s to give away.

A short quiz on one animal plays differently from a wide sampler. There is no hiding behind general knowledge: either you know the wolf or you are about to. Six questions take only a few minutes, review included.

The answer-checking behind them

Small quiz, same standard. Every fact on Fauna was entered twice, by two authors working independently against one fixed set of keys, then laid side by side and compared value by value. Of 196 keys, 194 agreed, and the two facts under genuine dispute were removed from the site altogether — neither of them concerned wolves. The site also passes over facts that will not sit still: conservation statuses get revised yearly, so they are not asked about here or anywhere else on Fauna.

How it runs

Four options per question. Pick one and it is marked at once, with the correct option shown whether you hit or missed. After the sixth question comes a review of the whole round, and your best score is saved in your browser, waiting for the rematch. No signup, nothing to install — the quiz plays right here in the page.
