Reptile Quiz
This reptile quiz covers ten questions across scales, shells, and cold blood — and it plays start to finish right here in the page.
What the ten questions take in
Reptiles get summarized in three words — scales, shells, cold blood — and this quiz spends its ten questions finding out how well you know the reality behind the summary. Who wears the scales and why; who carries a shell and how it shapes a life; what cold blood means for an animal getting through its day. Ten questions is enough room to move across the group rather than camp on one famous species, so expect the coverage to range.
Answers written twice
None of these answers rests on one person’s say-so. The dataset behind Fauna was compiled twice over: two authors, working independently, completed the same fixed keys — a catalog of questions plus structured tables — and their versions were laid side by side and compared value by value. The tally came to 194 agreements out of 196 keys. The two values in genuine dispute were removed from the site entirely, since a contested fact makes a rotten multiple-choice question. Facts that go stale — annually revised statuses, records waiting to be broken — never made it into the pool at all.
What happens as you play
Every question puts four options in front of you. The moment you pick, you learn whether you were right, and the correct answer appears either way. A full review follows the tenth question, and your best score is saved in your browser for the next attempt. There is nothing to install and no account to make; the quiz runs where you found it, in the page.
