Owl Quiz
This owl quiz runs seven questions on the things owls are famous for — those necks, that silent flight — and one thing they are less famous for: pellets.
What the questions ask about
Owls carry a reputation, and this quiz measures how much of yours is accurate. Its seven questions work through three subjects. First, those necks, and how far they really turn — a figure most people estimate confidently and few have checked. Second, silent flight: the fact of it is famous, but the questions dig at the how. Third, pellets — the least glamorous entry in the owl’s file, and the one that says the most about how these birds actually live.
Why the answers hold up
Every answer on this site was written twice before it was asked once. Two authors filled in an identical set of fixed keys — a question catalog alongside structured tables — without seeing each other’s work, and the two versions were then compared entry by entry. They agreed on 194 of 196 values. The two disagreements were genuinely contested facts, and those were removed from the site rather than argued into an answer key. The result is a set of questions whose answers survived two independent attempts at getting them right, which is more than most trivia can claim.
The way it plays
Each question offers four options. Pick one and you know at once whether you had it, with the correct answer displayed either way. At the end, a review runs back through all seven questions, and your best score is saved in your browser so the next attempt has a target. Nothing to sign up for, nothing to download — the quiz lives in the page.
