Horse Quiz
A horse quiz in seven questions, covering the gaits, the hooves, the hands, and the foal every horse starts out as.
Seven Questions From the Paddock
The 7 questions here stay close to the animal. Gaits — the distinct ways a horse moves across the ground, each with its own name and rhythm. Hooves — what a horse actually stands on, which is stranger than it looks. Hands — a word that means something different around horses, and the quiz checks whether you know what. And foals — the first chapter of a horse’s life, which comes with a vocabulary of its own. Every question offers four answers and accepts exactly one.
How Each Answer Earned Its Place
The answers were not written once and trusted. Two authors filled in Fauna’s dataset independently, against the same fixed keys — a question catalog and structured tables — and every value was then compared with its twin. 194 of 196 keys agreed. The two that clashed were removed from the site rather than scored, on the principle that a contested fact is quiz poison. Nothing here depends on records that change hands or statuses revised yearly, either; those are excluded across the site by design.
Playing a Round
All of it happens in this page. Choose one of four options and the quiz answers back at once — right or wrong, correct answer shown regardless. After the seventh question comes a review of the full set, and your best score sits in your browser waiting to be beaten. There is no signup and nothing to download.
