Director of the Directorate for development of small and medium enterprises Mr. Zoran Vukcevic opened the 11th Fair for small and medium enterprises, and pointed out that this Fair has for years been the good place where small and medium enterprises from Montenegro and wider can present themselves.
As co-organizers, Directorate for SME Development recognized the importance of small and medium enterprises for economic growth and development, and thus organized free of charge presentation for Start-up enterprises, that appeared under the same stand called â€žLets start the businessâ€œ. Under this stand, there were also Business Start Up Centre Bar and Business Incubator from Podgorica. Within the credit line â€žStimulating start-ups in businessâ€œ, Directorate for SME Development, in cooperation with banks, approved 30 projects, in total value of 1.049.723,33 â‚¬, and 137 new jobs were created.
In contribution to that, the positive trend of SME development in Montenegro was reached. Today, there are 41.769 small and medium enterprises, out of which only in 2009, new 1402 enterprises are registered.
The Fair for small and medium enterprises has been organized as a general manifestation, while this year it has international feature, since the factor of success of each enterprise is export orientation, pointed out Mr. Vukcevic. Besides Montenegrin small and medium enterprises from different sectors, there were enterprises from Serbia, Bulgaria and Russia, which were offered to broaden business contacts, to establish business cooperation and exchange of experience while presenting their offer.
At the same time, the 6th Fair of business services and investments was held, where enterprises got opportunity for direct contacts and approaches to this new, useful economic segment.
