The presentation of the Project »Development of regional offer of consulting services and markets for export oriented enterprises« was held in hotel Premier, financed by German Federal Ministry for economic cooperation and development, from the Open regional fund resources for South East Europe, which has been carried out in six SEE countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia, Macedonia and Serbia) by German technical cooperation (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit – GTZ www.gtz.de). Partners in Montenegro are Directorate for development of small and medium sized enterprises (www.nasme.me) and company »Adizes Montenegro« (www.adizes.me).
Many small and medium enterprises in South East Europe countries have export potential, but are not in position to utilize it completely, due to the lack of necessary export knowledge and experience. Consulting services has been developing in all countries in the region, but domestic markets are small, and many consultants don’t have enough export knowledge and expertise. The low level of formal consultants’ organization in most countries represents additional problem to small and medium enterprises in selecting consultants, and introducing to consulting offer at both national and regional countries markets. On the other hand, small and medium enterprises still don’t recognize consulting services as real value in their business activities.
In order to improve the cooperation level between entrepreneurs and consultants, as well as between consultants and their associations, the establishment of regional consulting network has been initiated within this project.
The essential element of this network is internet portal www.see-consultancy.net, with the regional base of consultants’ data, which serves at the same time the platform for information distribution and exchange. Besides consultants, small and medium enterprises are supposed to use this portal to search for advisory services, as well as institutions that support export, such as agencies for export promotion, chamber of commerce, and other government and non government institutions and organizations dealing with development of small and medium business.
The basic project activities, such as regional workshops and international conferences, will be directed towards regional consultants’ network enhancement, and trainings towards skill development for export support.
